1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Your value to God is not based on your performance, it is based on His love for you, in spite of what you have done in the past. God does not place conditions on His love for you, because He loves you unconditionally.
He tells you in Hebrews 4:16 to come boldly to Him, because He wants to meet your need. God wants you to have confidence in His Word, that He will honor it and meet your need as you apply the promises. Many people are only hoping God will meet their need when they pray, instead of coming in confidence. Don’t listen to voices that tell you your prayers will not be answered this time. Instead tell yourself that God loves you and wants to help you.
The more you realize God loves you, the more you can depend on His Word and promises in it. Think of yourself as one of His favorites, then live and act in a way that will want Him to continue to demonstrate His love to you.
